Audiobooks!

One of the best things that happened to me while I was in St. Louis was the discovery of the ENTIRE Chronicles of Narnia book set AND Audiobook collection from Barnes and Noble for only 20 dollars... (it is now around $75... nice). I've listened through the Horse and His Boy so far both driving in the car and while I run.  There is something about hearing someone speak the description of the creation of Narnia in "The Magician's Nephew" that makes it even more amazing. If you want to borrow them.. let me know. Its well worth it!

My newest discovery is that iTunes has books on tape too... some of which are extremely cheap. I just bought Greg Boyd's book, "Letters from a Skeptic" and Francis Chan's "Crazy Love" (which I've never head of.. but looks pretty amazing). I bought both for about 5 dollars! My life has just gotten significantly better! Hurrah!

Life isn't too exciting at the moment. I'm taking Sight Singing summer class (barf), choir (barf again), and Coaching for L'Italiana (which is pretty darn amazing). However, I am getting some great friend time both here in Bloomington and via skype. Yep, I'm pretty blessed with awesome friends.

Thats life.

  1. Have you seen librivox.org ? They have a bunch of free audiobooks from stuff in the public domain. They have a pretty decent selection--someone recorded all of G.K. Chesterton's Orthodoxy, for example.
