Italiana

Its been a while since I've ranted about anything. I have nothing to "rant" about at the moment (except the occasional really stupid Bloomington driver). Life is pretty amazing, actually. The opera I'm in, "L'Italiana in Algeri", is going so well and I am loving every minute of the rehearsal process. I have many of those "wow... I'm so lucky to get to do this" moments. I start stagings tomorrow. We sang through the whole opera on Friday which showed me that I have it memorized AND can sing through the whole thing without getting tired. Both pretty awesome discoveries.

The greatest thing I've discovered lately is how blessed I am. I have the most amazing group of friends here in Bloomington. Of course, I've known for a while how awesome my watertown/st olaf friends are, but this was a fantastic revelation. The ridiculous amount of time spend together without getting tired of each other is pretty amazing. Last year was great, but this year everything just seems... right.

Unfortunately, now that classes and the opera have started, our random hang out sessions will have to be cut to a minimum... but I guess distance makes the heart grow fonder, eh?
