KP's Visit
Kirsten just left to go back to SF after a week of fabulousness. I miss her already. We hadn't seen each other since April (?).... but it was like nothing had changed. After our initial happy hugs at the airport, she got in the car and it was like we had never been apart. Mainly because we talk so darn much... but we still could talk the entire way to and from Michigan... 5ish hours each way. Now that... is a friendship. It was exactly what I needed. Her visit was relaxing for both of us and a reminder to me again of the amazing people in my life.
We got to visit Jeff and Nicole also... which was so much fun! Our last night there, we had an impromptu Wilde/Disney Karaoke night! it was AMAZING! Here's a video to prove the wonderfulness:
We were there for KP to visit U of M Grad school... which gave her alot to think about. The whole trip made me realize how amazing it would be to have her at Indiana. However... talking through her possibilities for next year also makes it clear that she needs to be where she needs to be.. not where I want her to be. But we'll see...
Semi scary story: Kp and I discovered that my door... while the handle locks... it doesn't shut... SO... everytime I've "locked" it by the handle... anyone could have gotten in! AH! I REALLY hope this is a new development and hasn't been like this the whole year.
Fun Story: well.. not really a story. Kirsten and I decided to find me a running path around Bloomington and we discovered.... BRYAN PARK! The most amazing place every! (all of you Bloomington-ites... don't make fun of how long to took me to find a park that is 5 minutes from my apt). It has a path all the way around which (if ran in a figure 8) is a mile long. I'm sooo excited (I'm gunna go run as soon as I'm done with this blog!) This means I can... in theory... get up for early morning runs without having to go by obnoxiously busy streets, frat houses, or areas that would undoubtedly get me lost! Man... it doesn't take much to make me happy.
Speaking of running, I should prolly go do it so my day can start. I have a butt load of work to do in the next few days before spring break is done. Unfortunately, every time I forget that I'm actually still in school... something like this stupid book report comes back to bite me in the butt as a reminder. Hopefully I haven't forgotten how to do this writing thing... St. Olaf feels like SOOOOO long ago. I just have to channel my mindset from any of my Alice classes (minus the fear and hopelessness from my first Alice Class) and this will be done in no time.
Hopefully that works.... *sigh*

ReplyDeleteGlad you discovered Bryan Park :) I love going there when it gets nice out.
Annnnnd, I just got back to Btown, so if you're available we should get together soon!
I love mulan. It might be one of my favorite movies ever. You're funny. I'm excited to be on a computer from which I can 'post a comment'. I hope you're enjoying your jar of 'pancake-to-be.' Talk to you soon!
